Gomel is set to host the 8th Gomel Economic Forum on 21 May 2011

13 May 2011. An Iranian delegation led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Belarus Abdollah Hosseini has confirmed their participation in the forum.

12 May 2011. The forum will be attended by a delegation Schors District of Chernihiv Oblast (Ukraine) led by the head of Shors District Administration Grabovsky A.V.

The head of Chernihiv City State Administration (Ukraine) A.V. Sokolov, the Head of the Solomensky District Administration of Kyiv (Ukraine) I.P. Sidorov, plenipotentiary representative of the Governor of the Krasnodar Krai in the Republic of Belarus O. Y Murakhovski, and Deputy Governor of Kursk (Russia) A.E. Terekhov have confirmed their participation in the forum.

11 May 2011. The forum in Gomel will be attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Poland to Belarus Leszek Szerepka.

Partaking in the forum will be Phan Huy Phuoc, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Vietnam in Belarus.

The Head the Nizhny Novgorod Office of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia, Viktor Brich, and heads of administrations of Ramensky District of Moscow Oblast, Vyksunsky District of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and Kasimov urban district confirmed their participation in the forum.

10 May 2011. The 8th Gomel Economic Forum will be attended by a delegation of Lubuskie Province, Poland. The delegation will be led by Maciej Szykula, Vice-Marshall of Lubuskie Province.

A business delegation of Slovenia will be headed by Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in Slovenia Ernest Aljancic.

06.05.2011. Claudio Catania, President of the Belarus-Italy Chamber of Commerce, and representatives of the Italian company Vitivinicola Vela Tiziana, who are interested in starting up wine bottling in the Republic of Belarus, have submitted applications for participation in the forum.

10 May 2011. An application for participation in the forum was submitted by representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Republic of Belarus First Councellor Wieslaw Pokladek and First Secretary Krzysztof Januszkiewicz.

05.05.2011. Viktor Genrikhovich Kunitsky, Deputy Head of the Zhitomir Oblast Administration, Ukraine, will take part in the forum’s operation.

Ferenc Berenyi, Advisor for Trade and Economy of the Embassy of Hungary in Belarus, has submitted an application to take part in the forum.

April 25, 2011 The Embassy of China in Belarus has applied for participation in the forum. The forum will be attended by trade and economy adviser Yu Xuxin and Second Secretary of the Embassy Li Zhaohui.

April 20, 2011 Attending the forum will be the Deputy Governor of the Federal Land of Vorarlberg (Austria) in charge of energy issues and a business delegation of Austria.

The forum will welcome a delegation of Slovenian companies which are interested in establishing joint ventures in Gomel Oblast and technology transfer.
